Ideally, the time required to prepare for UPSC exams is 10 to 12 months. There have also been a number of candidates who have cleared the examination in 6 months.

Some candidates begin studying for the Civil Services straight after high school, while others begin only one year before the examination. However, the best time to start preparing for the IAS Examination is in the final few years of your bachelor's degree.
